New RAPID 12 induction furnace: 100% Made in Italy innovation
AFEMO is pleased to announce the launch of a new product by one of its member companies, F.I.M.O. FORNI LONGHETTI SRL: the RAPID 12 induction furnace, the first non-combustion furnace designed and manufactured entirely in-house by the company.
The RAPID 12 is a latest-generation induction furnace, fully designed and manufactured in Italy, conceived to ensure high performance, energy efficiency, and maximum reliability in melting processes.
The furnace features a melting capacity of 12 kg of gold, expandable up to 16 kg, an installed electrical power of 12 kW, and a maximum operating temperature of 1350 °C. It is suitable for melting alloys and pure metals, as well as for the treatment of ashes and recovery materials, offering great application versatility.
Among the main distinguishing features of the RAPID 12 are:

- a particularly robust metal frame structure, designed to withstand thermal and electromagnetic stresses;
- full EMC compatibility, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance;
- a high-efficiency generator, also usable for higher melting capacities.

On Friday, November 14th, Legor, one of AFEMO's valued member companies, opened its doors to a 5th-year class from ITIS De Pretto in Schio, as part of the PMI DAY – Industriamoci event organized by Confindustria.
