New RAPID 12 induction furnace: 100% Made in Italy innovation

AFEMO is pleased to announce the launch of a new product by one of its member companies, F.I.M.O. FORNI LONGHETTI SRL: the RAPID 12 induction furnace, the first non-combustion furnace designed and manufactured entirely in-house by the company.

The RAPID 12 is a latest-generation induction furnace, fully designed and manufactured in Italy, conceived to ensure high performance, energy efficiency, and maximum reliability in melting processes.

The furnace features a melting capacity of 12 kg of gold, expandable up to 16 kg, an installed electrical power of 12 kW, and a maximum operating temperature of 1350 °C. It is suitable for melting alloys and pure metals, as well as for the treatment of ashes and recovery materials, offering great application versatility.

Among the main distinguishing features of the RAPID 12 are:

    • a particularly robust metal frame structure, designed to withstand thermal and electromagnetic stresses;
    • full EMC compatibility, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance;
    • a high-efficiency generator, also usable for higher melting capacities.

With the RAPID 12, F.I.M.O. FORNI LONGHETTI SRL confirms its commitment to the development of innovative, sustainable, and high-quality technological solutions, enhancing Italian industrial know-how in the field of furnaces and melting systems.

PMI DAY at Legor: Inspiring Future Choices

On Friday, November 14th, Legor, one of AFEMO's valued member companies, opened its doors to a 5th-year class from ITIS De Pretto in Schio, as part of the PMI DAY – Industriamoci event organized by Confindustria.
This initiative aims to provide students with a direct insight into the business world, showcasing the professional opportunities it offers and the invaluable contributions of the people who drive the growth of companies. Through this hands-on experience, students were able to explore and better understand the professional landscape, while also considering their future career paths.
The theme of this year’s PMI DAY was "Choosing", a concept that guided the event's activities:
🔹 Choosing their future: Students had the chance to hear inspiring stories from Legor’s team members, who shared their personal career journeys and experiences in the industry.

AFEMO will take part in the upcoming edition of Jewel of Saudi 2025, scheduled from December 15 to 17, 2025, at the Jeddah International Exhibition & Convention Center in Saudi Arabia.
The event confirms itself as one of the most prestigious international fairs dedicated to jewelry, goldsmith technologies, and innovation in precious metal processing, representing an important meeting point for companies, designers, and professionals in the sector worldwide.

Within this context of excellence, AFEMO will be present at its stand M73 — a space designed to represent and enhance the best of Italian technologies for the goldsmith and silversmith industries, as well as a venue for meetings and collaboration.
